When it comes to hair care, hair oil as a product can be very confusing. However, if you have tried hair oils and have not worked, it may be because you have not used them correctly.
It may be because you did not find a hair oil that suits you, or it does not suit your hair needs.
To solve this problem, I am answering some questions about when you should use hair oil in your hair routine and which type of hair oil is best for your hair. I will also explore the oils that are mixed and whether they are okay.
When should I use hair oil?
Oil can nourish the hair, but remember that oil and water cannot be mixed, so if you want to moisturize your hair, you need to add water first, and then seal it with oil.
It may seem counterintuitive, but adding water in the process is usually a missed step. It is the step that makes the final result different.
The key is to moisturize the hair first and then capture it with grease.
If you have beautiful hair, you can still use hair oil treatment, and the hair will not become soft or slanted due to excessive oil.
The trick to dyeing hair is to apply grease treatment before shampooing. In this way, your hair will not leave a lot of residue in the oil, but you can still get a beautiful scalp and hair care.
Having a head massage
When you are doing scalp and scalp massage, this is an excellent time to use hair oil.
You can use any natural oil; it only depends on your hair. I find that there are too many heavy oils like coconut oil, and I need to wash them off.
I prefer to use mild almond oil or jojoba oil, which is warm enough to stay in the hair, especially if it is dry.
When you need to add shine
Oil is a great way to increase hair shine; you only need a few drops.
After you are satisfied with the finished style, mix a drop or two of oil in your hand and apply it to your hair. You can highlight them by twisting it with curls.
When adding oil to dry hair, less is more. Although hair oil can smooth some slicks, too much oil will only make the frizzy shiny.
What if I use too much oil on my hair?
If you have time, it is best to shower, wash your hair, and start again.
However, if you need a quick fix, please do the following:
I suggest using some dry shampoo or powder. With matte powder products, it will help absorb the excess oil in the hair and make somebody return to the hair, making the oil feel a bit heavy.
Then, you can quickly make style adjustments, and then you can start. It may not feel its best, but it will look a lot better and get you through an over-oiled lousy hair day in minutes.
What about mixed oil?
Hair oils had a real moment, and Moroccan oil introduced argan oil, and every brand followed suit.
Although labeled as oils, they are oil blends, usually with a base of silicones.
If you use the curly girl method, you can avoid using these methods, but if you use shampoo, they are easily washed off and can smooth and increase shine well.
I don’t use mixed oils in head massages, but they are an excellent choice for styling.
